Here is what David Brooks had to say. Mirrors much of what we both said about why more educated folk can feel safe to attach themselves to Obama. And we don't even have to get all corny with some fake interview shtick.
Yeah, I saw that too. I suddenly has a dirty feeling after reading that he was making the same point that we were. :)
Actually, he's probably my favorite columnist to read in the New York Times, because you stand about a 30% chance of actually learning something from one of his pieces, which probably ties him with Krugman and Kristof, and you also have about a 30% chance of being surprised by one of his opinions, versus less than 10% for any other NYT columnist. He's smart, makes good connections, and he seems to have cut back on the "analysis by anecdote" shtick.
